Sustainability is key to protecting our K9 partners.
We encourage agencies to take on the mantle of internal training by having front line responders become agency trainers.
To become an Agency Trainer simply complete Primacy, Advanced Responder and our two hour train-the-trainer skills course.
We also recommend completion of a Tactical Emergency Casualty Care (TECC) or Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC) professionals course.

Law of Primacy
What is learned first is learned best
- Aristotle The Law of Primacy states that one best retains information they learn for the first time longer than they retain information they must relearn. Unlearning incorrect procedures (or bad habits) is always more difficult than learning the correct procedures in the beginning. The K911 course series presents the correct information and procedures so as to proceed from the simple to the complex, from the known to the unknown, then drilled in progressively increasing stress inoculations. |
Law of Exercise
Only perfect practice makes perfect.
- Vince Lombardi The Law of Exercise states that students learn best and retain information longer when they have meaningful practice and repetition. The key here is that the practice must be meaningful. K911 uses proven instructional methodology, industry standard exercise design, and is staffed by only the most capable and passionate of instructors. Participants will drill their new skills in progressively stressful conditions until mastery is achieved. Your K9's life depends on your ability to perform under the worst of conditions. We define that performance in training so your ready when your K9 needs you most. |
Law of Intensity
Success is a science;
if you have the conditions, you get the result - Oscar Wilde The law of intensity states that a vivid experience is learned better and retained longer. Instruction that allows students to sit passively in the classroom doesn’t have much intensity. K911 Tactical Care is taught using various injury models, realistic scenarios, and live K9s. Each course is intensely hands-on with each scenario building upon progressive skills used under increasingly stressful conditions. |
